How it works
Local clients often choose to drop their knives off in person, but mostly we receive knives by post from clients all over the UK Mainland. Once received, your knives / cleavers will pass through our multi stage sharpening process. Your knives are then returned to you as sharp or sharper than the day you first bought them. It’s as simple as that. Every step of the Chef Sharp process has been designed to make your knife sharpening journey as simple and affordable as possible so you can start enjoying professionally sharp knives in your kitchen.

How to order
Select knives for sharpening
At Chef Sharp we specialise in knives that are used in the preparation of food. Simply put, this will include pretty much any knife or cleaver found in a professional kitchen or your kitchen at home.
We sharpen small knives, long knives, thin flexible knives, heavy deep knives and cleavers. Weather your knife be for meat, fish, vegetable or fruit, we most likely sharpen it.
The only knives we do not currently sharpen are serrated knives. This may change, but at present we do not offer the service.
We charge £9.50 per knife / cleaver regardless of size so all you need to do is select the knives and cleavers you want sharpened and send them in.

Get sharp
Never a dull moment
We treat each and every knife as though it were one of our own. Sharpening knives is an abrasive process that involves removing metal to create a sharp edge. Some methods are really quite aggressive and most off the shelf sharpeners people use at home do more harm than good.
The Chef Sharp technique on the other hand is delicate and subtle with every step of our sharpening process carried out by our experienced hands. Sharpening by hand does take a little longer than more automated meathods, but its worth the effort and your knives will be returned sharper than the day your bought them and with as little metal removed as possible. Working in this way is best for the knife and extends its lifespan dramatically. It also gives us immense pride in our craft as we continually strive to improve the service we provide our customers and the faith they put in our service.

Returned with love
Get your knives back
If you have chosen to collect your knives, we will let you know when they are ready to collect.
If, like most of our clients you opted to have your knives sharpened by post. We will pack them up safely and send them to you via our popstal partner UPS. Their service is brilliant, safe and secure. Please note that proof of age will be requested before your knives are handed over. This is a new requirement by law and realy very sensible.
